West Michigan Real Estate and the Lake Michigan Water Levels | Andrea Crossman Realty

This week on the Andrea Crossman Group real estate blog, we’re featuring another video with Andrea Crossman herself.

Tune in as Andrea discusses the recent Erosion 2020 presentation sponsored by Coldwell Banker Realty in Holland, MI., as well as the high water levels that were the event’s focus.

Welcome back to the Andrea Crossman Group blog. This week, we would like to discuss a few concerns about the effects of coronavirus, or COVID-19, and the West Michigan housing market.

Although Michigan, like every other state, has now seen a number of coronavirus cases, the housing market along the Lakeshore is still strong for buyers and sellers alike. With interest rates at a low that has not been seen in years, it is still a great time to sell or purchase a home as low-interest rates present buyers with great opportunities.

Spring is also one of the best times of year to sell your home. As the weather warms, buyers are more likely to visit available homes in search of their dream house. Although the market is still strong in South Haven,

Several factors have made the housing market in West Michigan into one of the hottest in the country. Low interest rates, affordable homes, and a great job market ore just a few of the reasons that it’s a great time to sell your home.

However, Spring is also in the air and that means it’s a great time to find an experienced realtor and get your home on the market. Warm weather brings buyers out to explore open houses and potential purchases, so put away your parka and get your home ready to show.

There are a lot of things to consider before setting a price and listing your home, but one of those items is often overlooked. Or, misunderstood. When considering the sale of your West Michigan home, it’s important to understand the taxable value and

Predictions for West Michigan Real Estate Trends

The real estate market in West Michigan and the Lakeshore has been one of the hottest in the country. For several years, Grand Rapids has held a place in the Top Ten housing markets in the entire United States.

Several considerations have been credited for the strength in the market. Low-cost housing, low-interest rates, a strong job market, and more have had a big impact on real estate, often leading to a lack of available homes for sale in many West Michigan townships.

In 2019, a dramatic rise in Great Lakes water levels also contributed to changes in the real estate market in many waterfront areas. In some areas, the high water has led to substantial beach erosion, or to substantial

Autumn in West Michigan | Andrea Crossman

An annual ritual should be to visit Robinette's in Grand Rapids for apple cider and donuts or Crane's Orchards in Fennville for U-pick apples, then visit the FennValley Winery nearby or Virtue Ciders.

Check out for the 2019 Corn Maze and other activities and don't forget to take home a homemade pie...cherry is my favorite.

After just having returned from the Stem Cell Institute in Panama City, PANAMA, and 85 degree daytime temperatures, it was a bit of a shock to come home to white caps surging over our seawall on Lake Macatawa and a very blustery day.   Lake Macatawa is about 6 miles long with varying widths and bays such as Big Bay and Pine Creek Bay where it is as wide as a mile or more and is about 1700 acres.  It is navigable for miles to the east where it turns into the Black River and there it is only good for smaller boats such as fishing boats and kayaks.  And to the west it feeds (via the Holland pier) into Lake Michigan.  From Holland's Lake Macatawa, you can boat all the way to Chicago to the south, Milwaukee to the west or north to Beaver or Drummind or
